Which regulations are relevant?

Not an exhaustive list by any means, we have: -

• The Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) guidance document BESA TR19®, relating to ventilation cleaning
• Health Technical Memorandum HTM-03-01, relating to ductwork inspection and cleaning within healthcare premises
• British Standard 9999:2017, relating to the regular maintenance and testing of fire dampers by competent persons (at least every 12 months)
• Chapter 10 of HSG258 (controlling airborne contaminants at work), relating to LEV testing at least every 14 months for full compliance
• The Workplace, Health, Safety and Welfare Regulations Approved Code of Practice 1992, detailing the requirements for any building owner or manager to carry out risk assessments and condition surveys
